This recipe for spicy Chinese pork barbecue riblets uses a great sauce that also tastes good on chicken and wings.
1 cup hoisin sauce
1 cup white sugar
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup tomato paste
⅓ cup white wine
¼ cup chopped garlic
2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco), or to taste
2 pounds baby back ribs, cut into 1-inch riblets
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Combine hoisin sauce, sugar, soy sauce, tomato paste, white wine, garlic, and hot sauce in large bowl; mix well.
Place riblets in a large roasting pan. Bake in the preheated oven, uncovered, for 45 minutes. Pour sauce over riblets; toss to coat. Continue baking until riblets are tender and sauce has thickened, stirring often, about 45 minutes more.
