Spicy Chinese Barbeque Riblets

This recipe for spicy Chinese pork barbecue riblets uses a great sauce that also tastes good on chicken and wings.

Prep Time:15 mins     Cook Time:1 hr 30 mins     Total Time:1 hr 45 mins     Servings:4

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hoisin sauce

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • ½ cup soy sauce

  • ½ cup tomato paste

  • cup white wine

  • ¼ cup chopped garlic

  • 2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco), or to taste

  • 2 pounds baby back ribs, cut into 1-inch riblets

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Combine hoisin sauce, sugar, soy sauce, tomato paste, white wine, garlic, and hot sauce in large bowl; mix well.

  3. Place riblets in a large roasting pan. Bake in the preheated oven, uncovered, for 45 minutes. Pour sauce over riblets; toss to coat. Continue baking until riblets are tender and sauce has thickened, stirring often, about 45 minutes more.
